If I remember correctly Halo Legends was an Animated mini-series they produced a few years ago, I actually enjoyed ODST it added a different type of game play where as in Halo 1-3 your this unbeatable heavily armed killing machine while in ODST your really just another soldier and if your not careful your going to get killed
(also if you read this book en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo:_Ghosts_of_Onyx you will see the contradictions)

The only good thing ODST brought to the table was Firefight, which Reach would have probably copied off of Gears of War's Horde mode, and more or less recently, COD 5 and 7's Nazi Zombies, but yeah. I thought it was a crappy Combat Evolved remake with shiny graphics. My friend and I want to believe Bungie did ODST so they'd have more budget with Reach, which makes sense in my head.
And btw, for Halo 3 and Reach, I always play with the Black Eye skull on. Just hit Major the other day in Reach Multiplayer too, all thanks to nonstop Grifball.
