It would be interesting....In my opinion to see how he goes about doing it and to see how the character is like.

I hope not... Percy is awesome already. And their probably won't, considering that he had roken the pact already. Bad, bad Zeus!

Well... On the topic of who's going on the Quest, I think that it would have to be Percy for these reasons: First of all, that Great Prophecy from the PJO series which simply talks about a "child of the elder gods", not specifically Greek or Roman. In my mind, this means that there isn't another child of any of the Big Three that could be anywhere near the age to be claimed, much less be trusted with this kind of mission. Second, there is the attitude of Poseidon himself towards Percy's mother. The way that he talked in the PJO series doesn't seem like he had other kids during this time period besides Percy. The way he talks about Sally at Percy's birthday (I think), in my mind, solidifies this idea. Lastly, Percy was one of the ones who helped stop Kronos, Annabeth being the other main one, and Jason led the attack on Mount Othrys and personally killed one of the Titan Lords. I think that RR is getting some of the most powerful demigods, Leo and Piper seeming to be some from Camp Half-Blood, with some of the more influential in the second Titanomachy together in order to help defeat the giants and Gaea. On the topic of the next book, I sincerely hope that it IS in the POV of Percy, mostly because I'm curious as to Lupa's training methods. ...and did I mention that this is my first (constructive) post here?

He actually did. I heard him in at a book signing. So sorry, he isn't one of the seven, though he will have a large role in the series.
I doubt there will actually be a Percy point of view, I'd guess that it will focus on the trip to rescue him, when he'll believe that he is a son of Neptune, not Poseidon.

That I agree with. Thank you for the info Ladin, it is helpful. It saddens me that he is not one of the seven.

It's a shame. He did add a certain light feel to the original series. I suppose the next question is whether we'll stay with 3 point of views, or move slowly up to seven. I'd guess that the others won't get point of views, but Riordan might want to diversify throughout the prophecy.

He did ad a light feel to it. I hope he does not go to seven point of views as I feel that is kind of to much.

Wow, that saddens me deeply that Percy isn't one of the seven. And that would make sense if the name is reflecting their search for Percy, who thinks that he's a son of Neptune. But I don't think that he'd think that he's a son of Neptune, mostly because of the way that Jason, who everyone else calls a son of Zeus, calls himself a son of Jupiter. Since Jason knows the gods by their Roman names, I think that Percy would know the Greek gods. Or that's just me over-analyzing the books I have a tendency to do that.

Yeah, could get a bit confusing. I've never known a book to do more than three major PoVs, and 1 minor (Golem's Eye).

Well I think that we all might want percy to be it but this is no longer about him....so i do not think that his point of view but I think the next book will be about finding him....because at the other camp he is a son of neptune and they are trying to find...The Son of Neptune.....
